The sizes suitable for automatic quotes can vary depending on the material, as different materials have different processing requirements.

Supported Shapes

The following illustrations show which edits are available with meviy and which are not.

For the machining of milling parts, meviy offers the option of 3-axis machining. With meviy, parts can be machined from 6 sides as listed below. This means that parts that require a diagonal hole to the surface cannot be machined. For pocket shapes, pockets can be produced with chamfers, but radii are required in all corners of closed pockets so that the end mill can manufacture them. Open pockets can be produced without radii, while bores can be machined vertically and horizontally, including multiple bores or slotted holes with counterbores. Vertical and horizontal machining is also possible for slotted holes. Chamfers up to a size of C15 can be produced with meviy.

Parts for which no automatic quote is available with the desired specifications or for which the desired quantity exceeds the automatic quote range can be requested manually using the ‘Request manual quote’ button. To do this, upload the 3D CAD file as usual and click on ‘Request manual quote’ at the bottom left. A meviy support employee from the technical service will get back to you within 1-2 working days after carefully checking your enquiry.

Hole Types for CNC-Milling Parts

In the machining service, various form elements are carefully identified and classified as holes to meet the specific requirements of each project. Holes can be customized, either as straight or precision holes, depending on the requirements and functionality of the hole.

Under certain criteria, it is possible to change the diameter of a hole and convert it into threaded holes, through holes or countersunk holes to suit the wide range of applications.

Both single-stage and two-stage bores allow for flexible design options where the design of the bore can be adjusted and toleranced at each step to ensure maximum precision and efficiency.
